Newport War Canoe’s mission is to provide comfortable and convenient lodging in vicinity of Naval Station Newport and we’re able to do that by meeting all Joint Travel Regulations that allow you to liquidate your travel claim at the end of your TDY period (and every week during your stay.)
Your receipts will be itemized and will clearly reflect daily room costs (that match daily per-diem for lodging allowances for Middleton and Newport) in addition to a separate column for the county’s lodging tax that will reflect the same rate you’d see at a local Middletown hotel except with many more amenities and features.
Newport War Canoe takes pride in providing lodging and receipts that meet all requirements spelled out for Uniformed Service members and DoD Civilian Employees mandated within Joint Travel Regulations (Chapter 5, Section 020303 “here”). We are happy to provide any documentation you need to validate your ability to stay at our property just as you would have been able to stay on base.
